This Shall include, but not limited to the following:
Understanding each project's specification and the respective NDT procedure.
Each time an NDT equipment is used - to verify that NDT equipment, are in calibrated condition and maintaining record of those calibration.
On a daily basis, physically performing non-destructive testing of welds, plates & materials, to determine whether they meet established quality standard.
Ensuring non-destructive testing records are maintained for each project.
Assisting the yard NDT coordinators in resolving any disputes relating to non destructive testing which may arise between PTMI and the customers.
Promptly and timely preparation & reporting of the NDT result to all concerned/intrested parties/personnel.
Daily monitoring of NDT result & review of the result along with customers & 3rd party inspectors including the customers representative.
The NDT technician shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which he is qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibilities for on the job training and guidance of NDT trainees and NDT level I personnel.
High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conduct.
