Role Description
  • Ensure that the company tax obligation comply with prevailing local regulations and corporate policy to ensure minimum audit exposure
  • Review monthly tax compliance and prepare annual tax return and its attachment. Ensure annual transfer pricing report preparation with consultant engagement.
  • Manage tax dispute process and prepare tax correspondence, supporting documents and all necessary action needed. Effectively manage open tax cases to ensure minimal exposure.
  • Review operational treasury activities such as payment, forex transaction, cash flow availability and time deposit decision.
  • Prepare and review data information request from regional office, tax office, central bank, etc.
Responsibilities

List of Job Responsibilities:
  • Tax Duties - Ensures monthly/quarterly/yearly income tax returns for Corporation; ensures preparation of related income tax work papers, including planning, research and compliance to the prevailing tax laws and regulations, tax adjustments and reconciliation of tax accounts at month-end. He/she will work closely with accounting personnel and consistently update the accounting personnel on new tax laws/regulations. Analyze and ensure data integrity on tax returns as outlined by Company's policy and procedures and tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Audits - Responds to and prepares for tax audits, and prepares correspondence to Tax Authorities in order to ensure minimum loss to Company's assets and profitability and in line with Company's policy and procedures and tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting - Ensures accurate provisions are made for financial statements purposes and reconciles tax accounts, identifies accounting and income tax issues, and develops strategies to resolve them in order to ensure minimum loss to Company's assets and profitability - in line with Tax law and regulations.
  • Tax Projects and Process Improvements - Leads special projects on corporate tax strategies with/without support from Tax Consultants in order to ensure minimum loss to Company's assets and profitability. Reviews and analyzes business process in the area of Tax; identifies improvements and implements 'best practices' in order to minimize manual work and redundancies and maximize business process improvements and/or automation.
  • Internal Control - With support from Treasury and Tax team, conduct audits of Company accounts and financial transactions, including analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and statutes in the area of Tax in order to ensure proper documentations on all transactions based on Company's policy and procedures in the area of Tax.
  • External Relationships - Maintains relationships with external parties related to Tax, such as Tax officers, Tax consultants, etc. and is up-to-date on all new developments including updates of the external parties' policy and procedures.
  • Treasury Duties - Effectively supervise the treasury team to manage all operational treasury activities. Closely work with Accounts Payable and I/C Payable team to ensure all payments are made as per schedule (including payments for tax, I/C, vendors, etc.). Track incoming cash balances and schedule from distributor transactions with A/R officer. Review cash balances on a continuous basis and make optimal cash management decisions to drive company profitability and working capital position.
  • People Development - As people manager of tax and treasury team, formulates, together with the subordinates, individual performance objectives to enhance job knowledge, technical skills, and overall effectiveness of all members of the team in order to ensure productivity and high quality of performance
Qualifications

Education, Knowledge and Skills Requirements:Essential:
  • BS in Finance or Accounting is required. Master of Taxation preferred. Tax Provision proficiency required. Certified public accountant designation/license.
  • 5+ years of corporate tax experience in a large corporate organization, public accounting firm or tax accounting firm
  • Thorough understanding of taxation and internal controls and has ability to research and analyze tax accounting issues
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Indonesia consolidated tax returns and has Working knowledge of US international tax requirements / foreign tax credit calculation
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and team management skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - both in Bahasa and English
